McShane, Jenny

Jenny McShane, Producer, VFX Producer, Local 80 Grip - began her professional career in Minnesota as an Actress, appearing on the Prince film, Purple Rain. Starting out in Chicago, she relocated to Los Angeles, was then repped by the William Morris Agency and has worked on films on nearly every continent. She has appeared in over 20 films as a lead actress, notably, The Watcher, Shark Attack, Shark Attack III, (which established a cult following for her work on the Shark films), Furnace, Nash Bridges, Wayne’s World II, Hit The Dutchman, Cyborg Cop III, Never Say Die, Monsoon and US Seals.

Working with her husband, award winning Vfx Supervisor, Ed Irastorza, (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hell Boy) she learned how to produce Visual Effects and is now working on many titles including: Only Murders in The Building, This Is Us, Equalizer and the new Dennis Quaid feature film, Reagan. Past titles include: Mayans, Grimm, and The Morning Show. She also produces the titles on The Black Lady Sketch Show and the pop-up titles on Evil.

As a Producer, McShane is currently in pre-production on the feature film, Spartan, to be filmed in Malta. This is an international independent film production.

While working on the tv series, Mayans, she lost her husband and was invited to join the Mayans Grip team, becoming a member of Local 80 and works on commercials, documentaries, films and television series.

Jenny McShane discovers that all of these levels of experience in the filmmaking process provide an excellent repertoire as a knowledgeable and fully prepared Producer.
