Matt Cimaglia is the co-founder and CEO of Alteon.io, the NAB Product of the Year 2023 digital ecosystem that simplifies content creation for everyone. Fascinated by broadcast media since his elementary school days, He’d go on to graduate from film school and was quickly hired as one of the youngest-ever editors to join NBC Network News, where he worked on Dateline, Today and Nightly News, earning a National News Emmy nomination for a 2007 docuseries on global water scarcity. At the same time, he was running his own creative agency, Cimaglia Productions, out of a Universal Studios backlot; he soon outgrew that space and opened offices in downtown Chicago and New York. He worked with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. 

In 2019, reflecting on his decades of experience working in every part of the production cycle, he realized many of the industry’s systemic pain points were not going away. Professionals at multimillion-dollar companies still shipped footage on hard drives. He wanted to create a solution that would streamline and simplify creative workflows—and so he founded Alteon.io, a powerhouse platform where content creators can easily upload, transcode, review and collaborate on media. Working closely with teams at Apple, Adobe, IBM and Blackmagic, Alteon has grown, as Matt envisioned, into a go-to solution for creators of all backgrounds.
