An Arab American award-winning journalist with more than two decades of experience in journalism as on camera senior correspondent and TV content lead.

Moawad led and helped articulate the vision of the major transformation and relaunch Al Jazeera Channel's news production and content delivery to mark its 25th anniversary.

He is the 2012 U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) journalist of the year. He was awarded three times at New York Journalism Festivals and short listed for London AIB (Association for International Broadcasting) Broadcaster of the year award. He holds a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason in Washington, his studies tackled the role of media in conflicts.
